Where is the publication declaration filed?

Articles 21 and 22 provide for filing with the King’s prosecutor at the court of first instance serving the outlet’s principal office. The publication director signs the declaration, submitted in three copies. The text places this step within the thirty days preceding the intended publication date.

Information to prepare

• Newspaper name, domain, main language and press establishment details.
• Director information and supporting records, and editors where applicable; article 21 includes criminal-record information.
• Hosting provider and domain owner names and addresses.
• Commercial-register number, capital and funding origin, plus company-specific information.

Receipt and follow-up

Keep the dated filing certificate. Article 23 provides for publication after one month from that certificate where no written, reasoned objection has been made. An objection requires specific handling; a filing receipt does not establish compliance with every obligation.
